We’re so excited that you’ll be joining us for our big day! To make your trip easier, we’ve put together some travel and stay recommendations for you.

Arrival in Porto

please refer to the timeline on your official invite

Arrival Dates: If you’re joining the Bachelorette & Bachelor Party, please plan to arrive in Porto (airport OPO) no later than Wednesday, June 3rd. For all other guests, we kindly ask that you arrive by Friday, June 5th.

Where to Stay: We recommend booking an Airbnb or hotel in downtown Porto or in Vila Nova de Gaia until the morning of Saturday, June 6th, just across the bridge from Porto and within walking distance of the famous port wine cellars. It’s the perfect spot to settle in before the celebrations begin! You can also commute to the wedding location area on Friday, June 5th already to have extra time to settle in – just like we will.

Bachelorette & Bachelor Party

Wedding Day

Saturday, 6th of June 2026 – official start 3:30pm

Getting to the Venue: The most convenient way to reach our wedding venue from Porto on Friday, June 5th or the morning of Saturday, June 6th is by car. The journey takes approximately 1h 30m and offers flexibility and comfort.

Three other great options are:

  1. Boat: more info soon!

  2. Train + Uber Roundtrip: Porto (Campanhã) to Régua for approx. 11€ (2h 05m); and then an Uber to Quinta da Pacheca (9 min); tickets will be available 3 months before here

  3. Flixbus + Uber Roundtrip: Porto (Campanhã) to Vila Real for approx. 8€ (1h 20m); and then an Uber to Quinta da Pacheca (25 min); tickets are available here

Alternative Accommodation: For those looking for other options, here are some lovely places close to the venue: Hotel Vila Galé (5 min away), Casa Relógio de Sol (1 min away), Hotel Folgosa Douro (15 min away), Airbnbs in Peso da Régua (10 min away). With the exception of Casa Relógio de Sol, the distances to the other accommodations are by car.

Vacation in the Algarve

Sunday, 7th of June until Friday, 12th of June

We’ve booked an Airbnb from Sunday, June 7th to Friday, June 12th with our closest family in Armação de Pêra, close to Albufeira, in the Algarve, Portugal (South of Portugal – 5 driving hours from Porto).

We recommend staying either nearby – since we’re planning to host a BBQ or pool day – or somewhere in the general Albufeira area, which is perfect for both a relaxing beach holiday and lively nights out. As it’s a quite popular tourist destination, there are plenty of Airbnb and hotel options to choose from.

Helpful Reminders for Our International Guests

  1. Passport Validity: Please ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. If you need a new one, we recommend starting the process as early as possible.

  2. Time Zone: Portugal is 6 hours ahead of Texas and 1 hour behind Germany, so plan accordingly for calls or connections.

  3. Arrival Airport: The most convenient airport to fly into is Porto (OPO).

  4. Currency: Portugal uses the Euro (€). While most shops and restaurants accept credit cards, it’s helpful to carry a small amount of cash for markets, or smaller cafés.
