We’re so excited that you’ll be joining us for our big day! To make your trip easier, we’ve put together some travel and stay recommendations for you.
Arrival in Porto

Arrival Dates: If you’re joining the Bachelorette & Bachelor Party, please plan to arrive in Porto (OPO) no later than June 3rd. For all other guests, we kindly ask that you arrive by June 5th.
Where to Stay: We recommend booking an Airbnb or hotel in downtown Porto or the Vila Nova de Gaia side till the morning of June 6th, just across the bridge from Porto and within walking distance of the famous port wine cellars. It’s the perfect spot to settle in before the celebrations begin! No rental car is needed.

(Rehearsal Dinner)

We’ve chosen to keep the Rehearsal Dinner intimate, and it will be held at our wedding venue, Quinta da Pacheca.
If you’d like to stay at the venue, you can still book rooms using our special code (see below). However, please note that the more affordable rooms have already been reserved by another wedding party. For this reason, we suggest checking out our alternative accommodation recommendations below for nearby options.
Wedding Day

Getting to the Venue: We are figuring out the best method of transport for the morning of June 6th from Porto to our wedding location (about 1.5 hours) - more information to come soon!
Staying at the Venue: We highly recommend spending the night at our wedding venue, Quinta da Pacheca, a beautiful vineyard and spa hotel. As our guests can book with a special discounted rate at www.quintadapacheca.com using the code: (coming soon).
(Please note: it’s a 5-star hotel, and breakfast together the next morning is included!)
Alternatively: For those looking for other options, here are some lovely places close to the venue: Hotel Vila Galé (5 min away), Casa Relógio de Sol (1 min away), Hotel Folgosa Douro (15 min away), Airbnbs in Peso da Régua (10 min away). With the exception of Casa Relógio de Sol, the distances to the other accommodations are by car. The good news: Ubers are widely available and very affordable throughout Portugal!

Helpful Reminders for Our International Guests
Passport Validity: Please ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. If you need a new one, we recommend starting the process as early as possible.
Time Zone: Portugal is 6 hours ahead of Texas and 1 hour behind Germany, so plan accordingly for calls or connections.
Arrival Airport: The most convenient airport to fly into is Porto (OPO).
Currency: Portugal uses the Euro (€). While most shops and restaurants accept credit cards, it’s helpful to carry a small amount of cash for taxis, markets, or smaller cafés.
